Character Sheets

Fill in, save and print D&D 5e characters on three pages, with modifiers, saves, skills and spell numbers worked out for you.

πŸ‰ Import from D&D Beyond

Paste your character's D&D Beyond link (or just its number) and press Import. The character must be set to Public in its D&D Beyond privacy settings. Importing again later updates the same sheet.

Link not working? Paste the character data instead
  1. Open your character's data page in a new tab (enter your link above first so it points at your character).
  2. Select everything on that page (Ctrl+A or ⌘A), copy it, and paste it below. You can also save the page and use πŸ“₯ Import on the saved file.

The import fills in everything the sheet has room for: scores, proficiencies and expertise, hit points, armor class, speed, attacks with equipped weapons, equipment and coins, features, traits, backstory and spells with slots. Homebrew and unusual effects may still need a manual touch. D&D Beyond is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast; this tool is unofficial.

How it works. A sheet auto-saves in this browser once it has a name. Renaming a sheet renames its save. Use the tabs to move between the three pages. Print prints all three pages of the current character, one per US Letter sheet, and Print Blank prints an empty set. Export downloads every sheet as a JSON file and Import merges them back in (a sheet with the same name is replaced). Nothing leaves your browser.

Sample sheets. Load sample characters adds all 420 characters from Sample Characters (the solo heroes and every party member, with each party under Allies & Organizations), replacing any saved sheet with the same name just as Import does; you can also download the sample sheet file and import it yourself.

Worked out for you. Ability modifiers are (score βˆ’ 10) Γ· 2, rounded down. Your proficiency bonus comes from your total character level (+2 at levels 1–4, rising by 1 every four levels to +6). A ticked save or skill adds your proficiency bonus; E (expertise) doubles it. Initiative is your Dexterity modifier, passive Perception is 10 + your Perception, spell save DC is 8 + proficiency + your spellcasting modifier, and spell attack is proficiency + that modifier. Tick Jack of All Trades to add half your proficiency bonus to checks you aren't proficient in (and initiative), and use the small misc + boxes for other bonuses such as the Alert feat or a Cloak of Protection. See Character Creation for building a character and the Dice Roller to roll with these numbers.
